Delete your account

Fastest: delete it in the app

If you still have Deendar installed, this takes effect immediately and needs no waiting:

1. Open Deendar and go to the Account screen.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account and its data are removed straight away.

Use this if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. Because we cannot verify who you are from this page, we review each request by hand and may email you to confirm you own the address before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your profile — email address, name and profile picture
• Your sign-in credentials, including the Firebase Authentication record
• Your saved favourites
• Your deeds-tracker history and the deeds you selected to track
• Your settings — location, city, language, theme, prayer preferences
• Notification registrations for your devices

None of it can be recovered afterwards, and it is not retained in backups beyond the point at which those backups expire.

What is kept, and why

• Your deletion request — the email address and the date, for up to 90 days after we action it, as a record that we handled it.
• Crash reports — these are not linked to your account and follow Firebase Crashlytics' own retention, currently 90 days.
• Anonymous, aggregated counts — figures that cannot be traced back to any person.

How long it takes

In-app deletion is immediate. Requests made through this page are completed within 30 days of us verifying the request, usually much sooner.
